Super Computing Center for Global Climate Change

Super Computing Center for Global Climate Change

This design competition winning project takes a different approach to a supercomputing center by employing natural lighting, ventilation and passive cooling strategies to meet the tremendous cooling loads of the facility. The project includes Solar, wind and hydroelectric power generation as well as using geothermal & evaporative cooling on site. The project’s natural materials, recycled brick and native landscaping maximize the connectivity of the visitors and staff to the local natural environment while minimizing the damage to the global environment.
